What sets us apart?

Massage School & Spa Training in Arlington

1. OUR PROGRAMS ARE AFFORDABLE.

Our goal is to equip students to become the best therapist they can possibly be. We believe that by keeping costs low and streamlining our programs, our students and customers are provided a better service over-all. For this reason, we do not require that students buy their own massage table, and while we provide information about various massage organizations, we do not require students to purchase any memberships.

2. OUR GOAL IS TO SEE YOU SUCCEED!

Whatever your learning style or situation we want to work with you and see you achieve your goals and find your pathway to success! In fact, our student's current MBLEx pass rates are 20% over the national average. Being a small business we understand the importance of customer service and value—that’s why we keep our tuition costs low and program value high. We keep classes small and personal so that you are not simply a face in the crowd—you’re our student.

3. WE FOLLOW THE TEXAS LAW TO A T.

Texas state law requires that schools must offer a program with the minimum amount of 500 hours. The founders work incredibly hard to ensure students are treated fairly and with the upmost respect.

4. OUR STUDENTS INTERNSHIP PROGRAM IS SIMPLE.

All internship massages take place in a safe, comfortable, and private setting. After students complete 250 classroom hours, they may begin their internship. As a student you set your own internship schedule anytime between 9:15 AM and 6:00 PM Monday through Friday. NTSSM furnishes private rooms, sheets, towels, oil, lotion, towel warmers, hot rocks, and heat packs. We even handle all the booking and scheduling as well and we do not charge our students extra to complete their internship!

5. WE VALUE YOUR TIME.

Other programs may ask that you to wait around all day regardless of if you are booked a massage or not. Some programs may even force students into completing a minimum of 4 massages in one day in order to receive any internship credit. We find this ludicrous as it is our belief that students should receive full credit for all of their work. Also, as the state of Texas requires all classroom hours must be completed before licensing it is important to note that NTSSM does not require students to pay additional charges to make up missed class room hours--they simply must be made up.

6. WE ARE NOT ACCREDITED By choice.

Sounds like a strange thing to brag about right? At NTSSM we have chosen not to pursue accreditation so that we can teach the newest techniques available--this includes classes like RTT™ and Bach Flower Essences. Because we are not accredited, we are able to provide our students with the opportunity for what we believe to be a fuller and more well rounded education while still teaching all the necessary classes so that our students can become licensed massage therapists.

7. WE HAVE OVER 20 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE.

The North Texas School of Swedish Massage opened in 1994 and continues to enjoy serving the community and massage therapy industry with integrity. We look forward to seeing you soon!
